One of our jobs currently on site is the Nave Roof repairs at St Martins Church in Thompson. Some money has already been raised by the Heritage Lottery Fund but the PCC are appealing for £50k to continue the repair work.
Hundreds of years of history could be reduced to a pile of rubble unless the £50,000 is urgently found to fix the dangerous, rotting roof.
Villagers have set up a fundraising campaign and website to save what they have described as a “wonderful, medieval church which is regarded as unique”.
