Roof repairs, window repairs and rainwater goods

Condition of the building
Grade II* listed building. Medieval, restored 1891. Flint with stone dressings. Pantile roof. Tower, continuous nave and chancel, south porch. West tower of 3 stages with embattled parapet and diagnal buttresses. South porch: corrugated tile roof, south face restored with knapped flints; C13 marble coffin lid at threshold. Cuspheaded piscina. Tall C15 arch to tower with polygonal shafts. C15 style font, octogonal on octogonal stem with quatrefoils on the faces.

Repair

The project (completed in 2016) consisted of:

  • Nave: Strip and relay the roof. Structural repairs to the roof. Install new cast iron rainwater goods. Install new rainwater gullies and drains. Repairs to door and windows.
  • Chancel: Strip and relay the roof. Structural repairs to the roof. Reset Parapet. Install new cast iron rainwater goods. Install new rainwater gullies and drains. Reapirs to windows.
  • Porch: Strip and relay the roof. Reset parapet. Install new cast iron rainwater goods. Install new rainwater gullies and drains.
