Thank you to Gillian Machorton from Stow Bedon PCC for the kind words in her insightful article for PCC News, Summer 2071.
She has described the journey of how the PCC made an HLF application which resulted in a grant of £250,000 to reroof the nave, chancel and vestry; install new guttering and soakaways and refurbish the chancel and make some improvements to the nave. She credits Nicholas Warns Architect for helping with those first steps, pointing them in the direction of a workshop organised by the Diocese which introduced the East of England Heritage Lottery Funding for Places of Worship.
Special mention goes to Project Architect Iain Walker and how he helped the PCC deal with the HLF and contractors:
“Iain Walker from Nicholas Warns Architects was a tower of strength helping us deal with HLF and the contractors and the work was completed on schedule in June 2016.”
